Buffalo

Hello all,

Just returned from speaking in Buffalo for the Buffalo Triathlon Club. This was a nice experience on many levels. For example, I had the opportunity to visit Niagra Falls on the American side and it was awesome. This is the type of thing that when I was drinking I could care less about but now in my recovery it is a blessing to be able to see this type of site. It was extremely cold there and I thought my ears were going to fall off but the view was magnificant. Secondly, meeting everyone at the speaking gig and discussing triathlon, sobriety and Racing for Recovery was awesome. I want to thank Melissa for arranging my visit and Bob for having me stay at his house.

We will have the entry forms for the 3rd Annual Racing for Recovery Half and Sprint Triathlon printed this week. They look great and will be "out there" for promotional purposes very soon. Entries continue to roll in and I know the new venue is going to please every participant and spectator this year. Thanks to everyone who is supporting us.

The Racing for Recovery mentoring program on Long Island NY continues to be a success and the Racing for Recovery message is making a huge impact on this group. Thanks Kathy and Ryan for your help.

From Addict to Ironman is selling well and I have received several letters lately from the impact it has made on people. One young man from NH (Chris) wrote and said "Todd this book saved my life" That is what that book is for and I am thankful for the benefits it has provided people.

Only one copy of ADDICT remains but the good news is we are going to have a downloadable version on the website shortly. I hope to have a new documentary showcasing the success of our program in the near future.

Do not forget the new Racing for Recovery support group meeting in Las Vegas starts Feb 1.

Quick note the addict "With Sobriety Anything is Possible" Do not give up HOPE as a better life awaits you but you must put down your substance to achieve it. It can be done and I promise an amazing life if you just give this sobriety thing a chance. I am not saying life will be easy as we all have our struggles but it is nice to deal with life with a clear head and open heart.

Take care everyone

ADDICT only 7 remain

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we only have 7 copies of the documentary ADDICT Racing for Recovery, The Todd Crandell Story remaining. There will not be a re-order of this film at the present time nor do I anticipate having them in the future. If you are interested in having a copy of ADDICT, please order today.

Thank you for your support and please if you have a copy of ADDICT share it with someone who would benefit from viewing the material.

Kind regards,

Todd

mentoring program

Hello everyone,

The Racing for Recovery mentoring program is in full swing. We have 50 adolescents in the Lynbrook New York area participating in this worthy program and the feedback has been awesome. I want to thank Kathy and Ryan for implementing this and look forward to the Racing for Recovery mentoring triathlon on May 19.

Speaking of triathlons, the 3rd Annual Racing for Recovery half and sprint distance triathlon is all set for June 10, 2007. We have a brand new venue at Sterling Park in Monroe Michigan. Entries are coming in from several states and once again we look forward to putting on another amazing race. More information is on www.racingforrecoveryhalf.com.

The second Racing for Recovery Podcast is up and running. We are already number 11 out of 66 podcasts in this category and have had responses from 9 different countries. Please check out www.successstorypodcast.com and post your comments. We are always looking for success stories in all areas of life. Thanks Sam for all you do.

The Las Vegas Racing for Recovery support group kicks off on Feb 1. If you are in the Las Vegas area and want a cutting edge approach to recovery, please attend our meeting. Thanks Steve for getting this rolling.

I have huge news regarding nationally publicity but I can't reveal it yet until all is finalized but let me say this, Racing for Recovery has impacted thousands of people worldwide already and in the near future we will be a household name.

Lastly I would like to ask for you all to support Racing for Recovery in any capacity you can. Yes we are looking for financial support but just simply putting out fliers, referring people to our program and basic word of mouth promotion are just as important.

Thank you and as always "With Sobriety Anything is Possible"

GARB

Hello everyone,

Just a couple things to report on. First of all I am working with to bring Racing for Recovery Triathlon clothing to our website. Over the years, many people have asked me about this and through many attempts we are close to having it done. You can view their stuff at www.2XU.com. If something you see interests you let us know. We will have a full line up of "garb" to choose from on our site and at our events soon.

I will also new promotional clip on the site by next week. I am not going to give the details away here but I will say it is AWESOME and the feedback from those who have seen it has been great.

I am heading in the final stages of completing my Master of Counseling Degree and will finish my program on July 24. I say to remind the person out there who is struggling with an addition that you can recover and go on to achieve what you want. I never thought back when I was strung out on cocaine that I would be alive today yet along having the education, family, faith, friends and health that I have. Once again my friends WITH SOBRIETY ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Do not let the negative people are places get in the way of what you want and will achieve if you remain drug and alcohol free.

Being humble and grateful are the 2 main things that keep me focused. These are the essentials of my recovery along with a strong spiritual program as well.

My whole family is just getting over being sick so it is nice to see the normal circus back in action.

Enjoy your day

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hello and Happy New Year to everyone. I enjoyed a nice sober night with my wife Melissa that consisted of a dinner and the movie Holiday. As we sat at dinner, I noticed many couple who both were drinking and thought to myself "which one is driving home tonight?". I am just thankful that once again I did not have to drink to have a good time.

Well thanks to my friend Sam we have our first Racing for Recovery Pod Cast up on www.successstorypodcast.com The basis of the whole Pod Cast is to show success and I look forward to sharing my of the people involved with Racing for Recovery their success stories. Please feel free to contact us to be involved. Please be patient with us if there are any technical problems as we are new at this but promise as always to improve this area of our program.

I wish each and everyone of you a safe, sober, productive and happy 2007.

Thanks for your continuous support of Racing for Recovery and once again remember what we say WITH SOBRIETY ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
