Hello

Wow Wow Wow has it been a long time. My good friend Greg told me last night "Hey do you ever post a blog anymore" so I thought I better get on something. By the way Greg is a great guy who called to comment on the book From Addict to Ironman and low and behold I happened to run into him at our local bihe shop the following Monday. I had crashed on my bike and he was in getting his bike together as he is beginning an exercise program. This is exactly the benefit Racing for Recovery is providing people.

Ok what is going on lately? We have implemented a Racing for Recovery 5k in Las Vegas for March 3, 2007. More information will be provided on this event soon. We just had our Racing for Recovery Golf Outting sponsored by New York Life and it was a blast. I want to thank NYL, Jeff and Kim King for all of their support.

I have been racing a lot lately and doing book signings at the events as well. It is nice to see all of the positive responses out there regarding the book and the overall impact Racing for Recovery is making.

Thanks to Ryan and Kathleen out of New York who are working diligently on the Racing for Recovery mentoring program. This is a pilot that will be utilized in other areas.

The month of September is going to be crazy busy but all good. We start with a family vacation to Virginia Beach where we will meet our dear friends the Johnsnons. Ray Johnson read about this story in Runner's World and simply wants to get involved with Racing for Recovery. Melissa and I are running the half marathon down there and I will be doing some promotional stuff as well. The rest of September finds me in Cancun Mexico for my 6th Half Ironman of the year and as a final tune up before Ironman Hawaii. There are several speaking gigs I am doing including Chicago, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Ohio.

We are in the beginning stages of brigning a feature film to the big screen regarding Racing for Recovery. The company met with my screenwriter on Monday and loved the concept and now I will meet with them in November. Remember "With Sobriety Anything is Possible" and this is yet another prime example of that.

Please join us for our 5th Annual Racing for Recovery 5k, 10k on Oct 22. Registration is available on our website and speaking of the site we are going to have a brand new look soon.

Ok enough for now as I have to get back to doing what I do.

Thanks for all of your support

TC
